On Monday the Guardian reported a new internet and phone scam where fraudsters called unsuspecting computer users pretending to be from Microsoft. The caller falsely claims there is a dangerous issue with the user’s computer and instructs them to install a specific online software which allows the fraudster to take control of the computer.
